Tasks
The Contractor must perform the following tasks in support of the departments SharePoint Online development:
- Provide advice and guidance for architecture solution-design options, in consideration of a broad range of requirements such as accessibility, security, data privacy, in collaboration with partner teams;
- Set-up and configure SPO using a “hub/home”, communication and Team sites, including other M365 app integrations to create a unified environment for storing and managing department information and records;
- Support migration of information and records from shared drives and on-prem repositories into SPO libraries using the departmental information architecture templates;
- Set-up and configure a new department employee corner communication/news site that will replace the existing WordPress “Employee Corner” website; and
- Collaborate with partner service provision teams and provide guidance and training with regards to SPO best practices, including common integrations with other M365 applications, such as Teams, Forms, Lists, Planner, Power Automate and others.
Mandatory
- The proposed resource must have a minimum 6 years developing SharePoint Online (SPO) environments, including the ability to integrate SPO with other M365 services such as MS Teams, workflows, power automate, and power apps.
- The proposed resource must have a minimum 3 years of experience developing in SharePoint 2016 or 2019 on-premise environments, including experience migrating settings and content from on-premise environments to SPO
- The proposed resource must have experience in SPO site architecture, creating and maintaining site collections, modern sites (Communication and Team Sites), and sub-sites. This includes experience applying content types, managed metadata, structuring information, and setting permissions to manage security across SPO sites, libraries, and lists.
- The proposed resource must have experience applying user experience (UX) best practices and designing and optimizing SPO interfaces for usability and collaboration, customizing search capabilities and improving search functionality as well as configuring and customizing document libraries, lists, views with document versioning
- The proposed resource must have experience in content management and structure and have developed or customized sites that use various web parts for content presentation (e.g., text, image, document libraries, embedded content, etc.), have created and edited site pages using modern web pages, including sites used for news posts and events and configured sites that have customize site themes (color schemes, fonts, etc.), configured custom logos, headers, and footers that required a more branded experience.
