Job Summary:

The Program Services Evaluator 2 (PSE 2) is responsible for coordinating and completing background checks for applicants, adult household members, child welfare licensed employees, and licensing agency employees to ensure prospective placements meet established background guidelines and eligibility. This position will also be responsible for entering of precise licensed information in the Database for all Office of Licensing and Regulation (OLR) policy for all license types issued and monitored by OLR as well as department contractors that work with licensees monitored by OLR. The PSE 2 works closely and professionally with licensees, department contractors, and OLR staff in determining initial eligibility to serve as placement.

Job Duties

  • Enters information as it relates to the licensees into the database.
  • Provides technical assistance by telephone or email to field staff, service providers, licensees, or the community.
  • Answers the general telephone line and directs calls to the appropriate party as needed. Assesses the individual needs of the caller and directs them to the appropriate area or within the department to reach a resolution, while providing consistent customer service.
  • Provides administrative support as needed. Serves as a backup to the licensing coordinators by completing correspondence to schedule, cancel, or confirm inspections, quarterly monitoring visits, registration for provider meetings, and other correspondence to licensees and agencies that the department monitors.
  • Reviews fingerprint clearance results, arrest notifications, inconclusive results, or further action required to determine licensee or employment eligibility based on results.
  • Contacts licensees or agency representatives when additional actions are required.
  • Updates internal databases and tracking logs with actions or notifications taken by OLR.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

  • HS diploma, 2 or 4-year college degree preferred
  • Computer skills
  • Experience working in public sector preferred
  • Fingerprint clearance card required
