Summary
The Manufacturing Program Manager will organize, manage, and plan complex projects for the organization’s research, development, and product implementation efforts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Program Manage and Engineer New Launches
• Process definition
• Cell layout
• Machine purchase specification
• Tooling and fixture management
• Project standards
• Launch budget management
• Launch timing management
• Liaison with Maumee/Corporate program management
• Customer communication for Shelby-driven programs
2. Operations Manufacturing Support – Between Launches
• Support operations as required:
o Troubleshooting
o Process improvements – scrap/waste reduction
o Process improvements - capacity
o Cost reduction
o Mentor younger less experienced engineers
3. Plant Manager Support
• Back up Plant Manager in roles/ways to be defined
4. All other duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities
Qualifications / Experience / Education
• Agree Employee Handbook
• Pass pre-employment screening (e.g., drug test, background check)
• Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
• Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn about the project or product being developed.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Engineering and Project Management
• Previous high-volume manufacturing / automotive experience preferred
