About Our Client:

Our client, a Canadian professional services company located in downtown Toronto, is hiring a Program Development Officer to join their dynamic team. The Program Development Officer will be seen as the SME for member learning needs, and will be responsible for leading a team through the development and launch of learning programs and events that will drive member engagement and loyalty.

Responsibilities:

The Program Development Officer will work with the Product Strategy and Learning and Development teams. They will be responsible for performing a diverse range of functions including but not limited to:

  • Collaborate with the Product and L&D senior leaders to define annual content requirements
  • Analyze research to fill any gaps in the Product Development catalogue
  • Review material and content for national learning products in collaboration with provincial partners
  • Review and approve potential SMEs and conference speakers for events ensuring superior SMEs and speakers with high quality content are selected
  • Support senior directors in shaping business challenges and opportunities, providing guidance on messaging strategies for products/events, and developing learner personas
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key professionals, industry leaders, senior executives, and media within relevant vertical markets to build a robust network of subject matter experts as well as oversee the delivery of the events/courses to optimize member experience
  • Utilize your knowledge and experience to identify needs and develop relevant products
  • Own and develop content for conferences, digital magazines and any courses required to address content gaps in the Professional Development catalog
  • Provide internal oversight on the selection and addition of external content, which is acquired through partnerships with external vendors, Post-Secondary Institutions and strategic partners


Qualifications:

The following are the minimum requirements to be considered for this role:

  • Demonstrated experience in program development and/ or learning & development
  • 4+ years’ experience in a strategy and leadership role within a fast-paced, consumer-centric business
  • Expert in research and analysis, and ability to analyze and interpret various data sources to draw insights solve business problems and uncover opportunities
  • Able to deliver product and/or services in an agile/lean environment
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, able to successfully communicate to stakeholders and influence decision making
  • University degree in learning, education, finance or a related field
  • Master’s degree would be an asset
  • CPA Designation would be an asset
