We have an exciting part-time opportunity for a Program Assistant to join our team of talented professionals in the Prevention programn.
The Program Assistant will provide assistance to the Prevention Manager and Prevention department staff in daily activities, including but not limited to the following: social media research and posting for SUDDs Coalition; research for reports/documents/presentations; creating infographics; data entry; completing necessary paperwork and documentation; coordinating and assisting with community events, service projects and assisting during prevention programming, including ATOD prevention presentations, community outreach and coalition building. Regular working hours are Monday through Friday, 20-25 hours per week during regular business hours. However, due to the needs of the program and clients, evening and weekend hours will be required at times. Flexible schedule is possible.
To qualify for this position, you will need:
- A high school diploma.
- Experience with daily maintenance of social media accounts preferred.
- Experience working with adolescents and families; group facilitation, and after school activities, and data entry helpful.
Additional requirements include: nonjudgmental approach that reflects cultural competency and sensitivity to the unique needs and diverse experiences of the students in the programs; effective interpersonal communication skills; a willingness to be helpful, flexible, patient, and creative. Candidate must interact with the public in a professional setting (business, human service organization, etc.)
Must have excellent organizational skills and demonstrated ability to work independently. Must be proficient with computers and MS Office. Must have excellent customer service skills as well as excellent oral and written communication skills. Must have the ability to work cooperatively with others. Must be able to physically lift and carry 25 lbs. at a time. A current valid driver’s license with no negative history is required.
