We are an esteemed AmLaw 100 firm located in Philadelphia, PA, seeking a dedicated and skilled Associate Attorney to join our Trial Practice Group. The role focuses on managing complex products liability and general litigation matters, with a particular emphasis on toxic tort cases, in a dynamic and collaborative environment. This position is tailored for those aiming to advance their litigation career by gaining substantial courtroom experience and participating in impactful cases without the pressure of tracking towards partnership.
Salary: $125,000 - $150,000 per year
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a portfolio of products liability and toxic tort cases from inception through resolution.
- Engage in rigorous legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
- Draft, review, and file all court pleadings, motions, and other relevant documents.
- Represent clients effectively during hearings, depositions, and trials.
- Work closely with a team of attorneys to develop legal strategies and prepare for court proceedings.
- Ensure compliance with all legal standards and regulations throughout the litigation process.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- JD from a top-tier law school and a strong academic record.
- Bar Admission in Pennsylvania or New Jersey.
- 3–5 years of direct experience in products liability litigation and general litigation, with a focus on toxic torts.
- Demonstrated proficiency in research and legal writing.
- Proven ability to conduct and manage trial proceedings and all facets of litigation independently.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in asbestos litigation highly preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing multiple cases concurrently under tight deadlines.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to resolve complex legal issues.
- Experience working in a large law firm or similar legal environment.
