Production Welder
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Welder to join the team. This role involves welding, cutting, and fabricating metal pieces and products using flame-cutting and hand welding equipment. If you have a strong technical background, attention to detail, and commitment to safety, we want to hear from you!
This is a full-time position: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM. Additional hours, including weekends, may be required.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and gather tools and materials based on work order instructions and job specifications.
- Repair and fabricate various items and equipment using cutting, burning, and welding techniques.
- Monitor the welding, burning, and fitting process to prevent warping, distortion, expansion, or shrinkage.
- Prepare, assemble, and tack weld parts and surfaces before final welding.
- Maintain, organize, and clean equipment and work areas.
- Identify and report faulty equipment or defective materials to the supervisor.
- Ensure safety and quality standards are met during all welding tasks.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- AWS D.1.1 Welder Certification required.
- 1-year certificate from a technical school preferred.
- 5+ years of welding-related experience.
- Proficiency in MIG welding and industrial applications.
- Strong understanding of welding machines, tools, and their maintenance.
- Ability to interpret technical plans, blueprints, and drawings.
- Basic understanding of mathematics as it applies to welding assignments.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
- Exposure to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration.
- Occasionally exposed to extreme conditions and loud noise levels.
- Must be able to weld components in vertical, flat, or overhead positions.
- Requires manual dexterity and stability for precision work.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and traverse facilities by climbing, balancing, walking, and stooping.
