Keys to Job: The Production Supervisor will be part of the manufacturing team in support of the Directors and Managers. Manufactures products by supervising staff; organizing and monitoring workflow; acts as a quality inspector; serves as a safety coordinator, material handler, and trainer for the area of responsibility.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED required; additional education or certifications in manufacturing or operations preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- At least 3 years of supervisory experience, with a proven ability to lead teams and drive results.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, capable of addressing operational challenges at a functional level.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality assurance and workplace safety.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on customer and team orientation.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and general computer literacy.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Availability to work evening (2nd shift) or overnight (3rd shift) schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute production schedules by coordinating personnel assignments, prioritizing tasks, monitoring progress, resolving operational challenges, and reporting performance metrics for shift activities.
- Enhance team performance by setting clear expectations, monitoring outcomes, providing coaching and feedback, and enforcing organizational policies and procedures.
- Recruit, onboard, and train team members, fostering professional development and growth opportunities.
- Optimize workflows by analyzing processes, adjusting operational variables, monitoring equipment and resources, and implementing efficiency improvements to reduce costs and enhance productivity.
- Actively engage in direct production tasks, dedicating approximately 50% of time to hands-on responsibilities within the assigned area.
- Promote a safe work environment by identifying potential hazards, conducting environmental and operational assessments, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Serve as a quality assurance lead for the assigned area, upholding organizational standards and addressing quality issues promptly.
- Ensure availability of necessary materials and resources to support seamless production operations.
- Maintain accurate production records, compiling and analyzing data to provide actionable insights and respond to stakeholder inquiries.
- Foster a culture of teamwork and cooperation, facilitating effective collaboration within and across departments.
- Uphold a clean and compliant workplace by adhering to established procedures, rules, and regulations.
