Production Supervisor

Plastic manufacturing company is seeking to hire a Production Supervisor.
Schedule:

• 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
• Every other Wednesday + every Thursday through Saturday
• Rotating schedule: one week 36 hours, next week 48 hours

SCOPE and PURPOSE

The production shift supervisor is responsible for communicating job expectations to shift operators, monitoring, and appraising job results. Should also coach, counsel and discipline shift operators.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Beginning of each shift, must review list of tools running and determine best operator to run job.
• Make sure to start or shut down jobs.
• Monitor all jobs running, ensuring good parts being produced and checking cycle times.
• Check molds throughout day and clean molds as needed.
• Monitor machine operators, verify they are working safely and efficiently.
• Plan the breaks, lunches and rotations of operators.
• Fill out all appropriate and necessary paperwork.
• Ensure that Operator/Machine Hours are at acceptable levels.

Must be a team player and work well with others in order to achieve production goals.

REQUIREMENTS

1. Must be dependable with good attendance.
2. Must be able to communicate and motivate shift operators.
3. Must be able to work under pressure and take proper steps to complete the jobs requested.
4. Must be able to work in hot and cold conditions.
5. Must be mobile enough to meet tasks required, such as climbing, lifting at least 55 pounds, and be able to stand for long periods of time.
6. Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in Plastic Injection Molding.
