The Production Planner & Scheduler is responsible for coordinating, developing and optimizing production schedules and to achieve company goals and customer satisfaction. The Production Planner & Scheduler will monitor production process, direct and interact with floor supervisors and employees.
|
Job Responsibilities:
|
|
- Utilizing ERP system, review demand and build daily/weekly master schedules.
- Prepare and maintain production reports.
- Recommend employee and material resources accordingly to meet deadlines and customer needs.
- Form action plans to optimize shipments and maintain visibility to the floor.
- Act as a liaison between the manufacturing and purchasing departments.
- Maintain up to date communication to Sales of any schedule changes.
- Analyze past and present data to generate reports and create more effective schedules.
- Take stock of inventory levels and facilitate providing necessary materials and components.
- Install controls to keep inventory levels accurate – oversee cycle counting
- Expedite raw material as necessary with Purchasing.
- Maintain the integrity of the ERP system that it reflects actual conditions on the shop floor.
- Communicate with all departments professionally and timely.
- May need to be a resource in case of production problems that need to be resolved immediately.

Education and Experience:
|
|
- Associates Degree in Management or relevant field.
- Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
- 1-3 Years’ experience in a production environment.
- Management Resource Planning (MRP) experience.
|
Key Skills:
|
|
- Effective Communication Skills.
- Computer Skills, specifically Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Must write legibly.
