Salary Range: $90,000 - $105,000 plus bonus (flexible depending on experience)

Position Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Production Operations Lead to oversee day-to-day production activities within our Lakeland, FL facility. This role is ideal for a proactive, organized leader with a strong technical background in electrical equipment manufacturing — especially low- and medium-voltage switchgear and critical power systems.
As the Production Operations Lead, you will execute and coordinate the full lifecycle of in-house projects, including assembly, wiring, testing, layout planning, receiving, QA, and shipping. You will be the operational backbone of our job shop style/oriented production floor atmosphere and play a pivotal role in delivering quality systems on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for all shop floor activities including assembly, wiring, testing, inspection, and shipping.
- Coordinate daily production schedules and ensure alignment with project timelines and engineering drawings.
- Work directly with engineering, field service, and project management teams to ensure a seamless production process.
- Maintain and enforce shop safety standards and OSHA compliance.
- Help direct and support a team of technicians and fabricators, fostering a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Perform incoming and final inspections; ensure quality assurance is upheld at all stages.
- Oversee and occasionally assist with physical layout planning, rigging logistics, and production documentation.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels, oversee receiving and materials handling, and coordinate outbound shipments.
- Identify and implement process improvements in production workflows.
Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in electrical production, switchgear assembly, or critical power systems.
- Prior experience in a shop or manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of electrical schematics, layouts, and wiring practices.
- Familiarity with UL, NEC, and IEEE standards.
- High level of organization, attention to detail, and ability to coordinate multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication skills and team leadership ability.
- The ability to lift and move up to 75 lbs. and perform hands-on work as needed.
Preferred:
- Technical or trade school certification in Electrical or Mechanical disciplines.
- Experience with major OEM switchgear (Siemens, Eaton, Schneider, ABB).
- Forklift or rigging equipment experience/certification.

Physical Requirements
This is a hands-on, shop-floor leadership role. You should be able to:
- Stand, walk, and work on concrete floors for extended periods
- Lift and move heavy objects (up to 75 lbs.)
- Climb ladders, stoop, kneel, and occasionally work in tight or elevated areas
- Work indoors and occasionally outdoors in varied conditions
The employee may occasionally be required to:
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions including intense heat/cold, muddy and wet environments.
- Perform precision tasks with instruments and fittings.
- Communicate verbally and in writing.
