Our client is a custom cabinetry and millwork company specializing in high-quality, made-to-order cabinetry and closet solutions. The company works on residential and commercial projects, providing custom-designed products tailored to each client’s space and requirements. They are looking for skilled, reliable professionals to join their growing team and contribute to quality-focused projects from fabrication through installation.
They are seeking a Production Manager to join their dynamic team!

Responsibilities:

• Manage the shop floor to ensure efficient and productive operations
• Supervise Cabinet Makers and Assemblers who report directly to the position
• Implement and maintain Planit Cabinet Vision Detailer & Designer and CNC Link
• Maintain and update product libraries, CAD files and Cabinet Vision files
• Add new products, components and options to the product library as required
• Research and implement new hardware, materials and cabinet construction methods
• Set up and troubleshoot CNC tooling and provide direction to CNC operators
• Assist CNC operators with tooling, door profiles and parametric door part setup
• Coordinate with suppliers regarding new tooling and sharpening of saws and CNC tooling
• Troubleshoot software and CNC machine issues and modify G-Code programming when required
• Prepare detailed shop and installation drawings using Planit software
• Prepare cabinet cut lists and CNC machining files for production and assembly
• Work closely with floor assemblers and installers to ensure jobs are built and installed according to shop drawings
• Collaborate with designers to resolve design, functionality and production challenges
• Provide software training and support to designers, new hires and drafters
• Manage day-to-day purchasing and supplier requirements
• Ensure materials and products are purchased and delivered within budget and required timelines
• Identify and source new suppliers and vendors
• Manage vendor selection based on price, quality, support, capacity and reliability
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors
• Prepare production schedules for CNC and shop floor operations
• Hold regular meetings with detailers to ensure efficient workflow and production timelines
• Monitor production schedules and ensure operational deadlines are met
• Identify and resolve production issues to minimize delays and maintain workflow

Requirements:

• Strong experience with custom cabinetry and millwork production
• Proficiency with Planit Cabinet Vision Detailer & Designer
• Experience with CNC machinery, tooling and CNC programming
• Strong understanding of cabinet construction, hardware and manufacturing processes
• Experience preparing shop drawings, cut lists and CNC files
• Ability to troubleshoot CNC, software and production issues
• Strong understanding of CAD and Cabinet Vision files
• Experience supervising or coordinating cabinet makers, assemblers, detailers and CNC operators
• Strong organizational and scheduling skills
• Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Experience working with suppliers and managing purchasing
• Ability to manage multiple projects and production deadlines simultaneously
• Strong understanding of quality control and efficient production processes
