Injection Molding Leadership Development Path to Plant Manager
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established plastics manufacturer seeking a Manufacturing Manager to lead production operations at a growing injection molding facility.
This is much more than a traditional production management role. This hire is a succession plan to develop into the Plant Manager role in 4 years. The successful candidate will gain exposure to all aspects of running a manufacturing operation while leading daily production.

Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day production operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery and productivity objectives.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing, 5S and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the operation.
- Coach, mentor and develop supervisors and production personnel.
- Optimize labor utilization, workflow and manufacturing efficiency.
- Partner with Scheduling, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance and Customer Service to ensure customer expectations are met.
- Support new product introductions and manufacturing process improvements.
- Monitor production metrics including efficiency, scrap, quality and labor performance.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Strong leadership experience within an injection molding manufacturing environment.
- Solid understanding of injection molding processes, tooling and production operations.
- Experience leading supervisors and production teams.
- Background implementing Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ability to develop people while driving operational performance.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Compensation
- Base salary: $140,000-$170,000
- Bonus opportunity
