Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Plant Manager of a leading producer of industrial pressure-treated wood products. Responding to the vital infrastructure needs of economy, they manufacture and distribute railway ties, utility poles, residential lumber, and industrial wood products across North America.
The Production Manager will assist the Plant Manager of the Russellville, AR operation. They will help in directing production, distribution, and operations by implementing manufacturing operations business plans to include all program requirements, labor hours, cycle, employee safety, and environmental compliance. Ensure all established costs, quality, and delivery commitments are met. Obtain all data regarding types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products ordered. Provide guidance to the development of a manufacturing process plan, including personnel requirements, material needs, subcontract requirements, facility needs, and tooling and equipment needs. Coordinate manufacturing activities with all other functions of the organization and suppliers to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment. Perform administrative activities associated with the effective management of operations, including compiling, storing, and retrieving production data for reports. Assist with training and ensuring all assigned employees are aware of and comply with company, government, and customer policies, procedures, and regulations. Develop employees and manage performance, oversee paid time off, assignment of work, training, guidance, and discipline. Contribute to the safety program.
