As Manager, you will:

  • Play a key role in building a culture focused on teamwork and leadership development
  • Provide leadership for a Production Upfit Team to achieve Safety, Quality and Production goals
  • Work closely with Department Managers to achieve department objectives utilizing lean manufacturing principles
  • Serve as a role model demonstrating respect and dignity for all team members
  • Become proficient in all production processes, specifications & systems in assigned areas of responsibility
  • Maintain and input production information into systems
  • Utilize data to improve safety, quality and productivity processes
  • Responsible for coordination and communication with team members to ensure production requirements are achieved
  • Trains and leads team members in assigned departments
  • Maintain clean and orderly work areas and recommend changes needed to improve organization and safety
  • Seek feedback from team members to improve safety, quality and productivity
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills with Leadership Team on changes, concerns and feedback on department operations and processes

TECHNICAL SKILLS OR CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • At least 5 years of current / relative experience leading a heavy maintenance-related department
  • MILITARY EXPERIENCE PREFERRED
  • Strong hands-on experience in “some” of the following fields; metal fabrication, welding, fiberglass, hydraulics, electrical, powerplant, etc.
  • Seek opportunities and implement improvements
  • Coach & develop Upfitting Team on performance

EDUCATION

  • High School Diploma / GED and 5 years current / relative work experience
  • (2) years of college preferred

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Must be able to bend, lift, squat, twist, stand and move repetitively for 8-10 hours a day
  • Capable of lifting a minimum of 50 pounds and occasionally
  • Noise level in this work environment is low to moderate

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Must be able to bend, lift, squat, twist, stand and move repetitively for 8-10 hours a day
  • Regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms
  • Capable of lifting a minimum of 50 pounds and occasionally
  • Standard vision abilities required
  • PPE Required: Safety Glasses and Hearing Protection on manufacturing floor

This position is based in Cocoa, Florida. Some relocation assistance is available for this position.
