JOB SUMMARY
The production manager plans, organizes, directs, and controls all aspects of the production process from delivery of raw materials to the manufacturing plant, including the storage of ethanol-finished products in preparation for commercial distribution. The manager is also responsible for overall supervision of workers involved in the operation and control of certain production equipment like compressors, centrifuges, boilers, tanks, valves, pipelines, columns, heat exchangers, pumps, condensers, and evaporators. In addition, the production manager must always work to ensure the use of less energy during the production process.
SALARY
$85-$100K - Commensurate with experience
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee the plant production to ensure operational consistency
- Maintain safe and clean working environment.
- Monitor and make necessary adjustments in fermentation process
- Track and record data on a daily and weekly basis
- Maximize plant efficiency through teamwork and innovation
- Maintain and enforce all safety programs and procedures
- Quality control in all areas of production; cook, fermentation, distillation, centrifuges, etc.
- Provide new employee training and development for current staff through the coordination of vendor provided training
- Work as a team with all plant departments seeking the accomplishment of overall company goals
- Carry out all directives from the plant manager. Working closely to provide recommendations regarding new technology and areas of improvement
- Represent and promote Conestoga Energy Partners in the community
- Represent and promote Conestoga Energy Partners in the community
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous supervisory management experience
- Professional level of knowledge of ethanol plant manufacturing
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate fluently in English.
- Intermediate skills in computer systems such as: Microsoft Office Suite including Excel & Outlook
- Highschool or GED required, Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred
