Summary
This position is responsible for executing new product development initiatives and optimizing existing products to support the company's growth and brand objectives. Under the guidance of the Marketing Manager, the ideal candidate will leverage creativity, technical expertise, and strong project management skills to develop products that delight consumers and strengthen the company's market presence.
Responsibilities
- Assist in new product and packaging development, as well as go-to-market initiatives, by effectively working with multiple stakeholders.
- Lead the development and execution of promotional and seasonal products tailored to meet the needs of specific retail channels.
- Develop creative briefs and collaborate with package designers and packaging vendors to create attractive packaging that aligns with brand standards and consumer preferences.
- Conduct sensory evaluations and consumer testing to gather feedback for product improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including external suppliers, Sales, and Supply Chain Management (SCM), to ensure timely product launches.
- Maintain accurate records of product specifications, development processes, and artwork.
- Analyze industry trends and competitor products to identify opportunities for innovation.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Work closely with QA and external consultants to ensure products, ingredients, labels, and claims comply with FDA regulations, guidance, and company standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least three years of experience in CPG marketing or product development.
- Familiarity with FDA labeling requirements is a plus.
- Excellent organizational and document management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work collaboratively with global teams and cross-functional departments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Japanese fluency.
