Job Description
Responsibilities
- The Product Manager will lead and coordinate asset and marketing activities including demand / supply planning, market intelligence and pricing, as well as other commercial activities. The objective is to optimize profitability for the assigned chemical products.
- Identify key business metrics and measurement systems to drive continuous improvement relative to KPIs. Recommend actions to close gaps.
- Develop understanding of North American propylene glycol market S/D, price drivers, and competitive dynamics (incl MPG, DPG, and TPG) to assess and optimize market participation strategy and business profitability. Support pricing decisions and contract negotiations based on market analysis and knowledge of the value chain.
- Coordinate with supply chain and operations in managing inventories and driving integrated sales & operations planning for all product segments.
- Can be based in Houston, Beaumont or Columbus, OH
- The Product Manager will have a BS degree in in chemical engineering or chemistry.
- 10+ years of experience in commercial roles within chemical manufacturing (e.g., petrochemical, specialty chemicals, or industrial gases). 5+ years of leadership experience managing sales or commercial teams.
- Previous experience purchasing raw materials and negotiating skills required.
- SAP experience is preferred.
- 30% travel.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.
