Director of Product, Security Platforms New York City Full-Time, In-Office

Overview

Our client, an established leader in commercial electronic security and managed services, is seeking a Director of Product to help shape its next generation of integrated security solutions.

Reporting directly to the CTO, this individual will own the technology roadmap across video surveillance, access control, intrusion, and emerging technologies, with a strong focus on AI, analytics, and Live Video Monitoring (LVM).

This is an opportunity for a proactive product leader who understands the manufacturer ecosystem, thinks beyond individual products, and knows how to turn technology into scalable, recurring-revenue services.

What You’ll Do

Own product strategy and develop an aligned, commercially grounded technology roadmap across video, access control, and intrusion.
Assess existing capabilities, identify product gaps and growth opportunities, and establish a disciplined technology-evaluation process.
Evaluate emerging technologies, lead pilots and POCs, and bring new offerings from selection through launch.
Build strategic manufacturer relationships and identify opportunities for integrated, revenue-generating services.
Partner with Technology, Monitoring, Operations, and Sales to develop scalable solutions.
Advance video, AI, analytics, and LVM capabilities, with a clear strategy for growing recurring revenue and leveraging security data for new customer services.

What You’ll Need

10+ years of experience in commercial electronic security, including product or technology leadership.
Deep expertise in commercial video surveillance, analytics, AI, and LVM.
Experience with security technology manufacturers and product development or platform management.
Working knowledge of access control, intrusion, and integrated security platforms.
Demonstrated ability to develop scalable products or services that generate recurring revenue.
Strong commercial judgment, strategic thinking, and a proactive, self-directed approach.
Bachelor's degree required.
