Our client is looking for a Product Manager with a unique blend of technical knowledge, operational expertise, and product development experience, ideally with a background in robotics or public safety. The successful candidate will own the product roadmap, drive cross-functional collaboration, and set clear metrics to measure and achieve product success.


Key Responsibilities

  • Product Strategy & Roadmap:
    • Develop and execute a roadmap aligned with their mission and the needs of the public safety sector.
    • Translate high-level goals into quarterly Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Lead collaboration between engineering, operations, and customer support to bring products from concept to reality.
    • Define milestones, establish timelines, and ensure team alignment on deliverables.
  • Customer-Centric Development:
    • Engage with public safety professionals to understand pain points and translate insights into product requirements.
    • Prioritize requirements that add significant customer value.
  • Metrics-Driven Management:
    • Define and track key metrics to manage product success, including:
      • Adoption Rates and User Engagement: Track metrics like Monthly Flights.
      • Reliability & Performance: Monitor uptime and Mean Time to Resolution (MTTR).
      • Customer Satisfaction: Measure user experience through Net Promoter Score (NPS) or Customer Satisfaction (CSAT).
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Streamline product development and improve release efficiency.
    • Track metrics such as Time-to-Market (TTM) and Cycle Time to identify bottlenecks.
  • Technical Collaboration:
    • Use your engineering background to communicate effectively with technical teams, resolving challenges and ensuring technical feasibility.


Requirements

  • Education & Experience:
    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, or related field.
    • 5+ years in product management, preferably in robotics, public safety, or a tech-driven field.
  • Data Proficiency and Analytical Skills:
    • Ability to define and analyze OKRs and KPIs, including user engagement, uptime, and customer satisfaction.
  • Operational Mindset:
    • Proven track record of operational success, optimizing processes for improved product delivery.
  • Technical Proficiency:
    • Strong foundation in engineering principles to work with development teams on complex solutions.
  • Customer-Centric Approach:
    • Passion for gathering customer feedback and integrating needs into product development.
  • Communication and Leadership Skills:
    • Excellent written and verbal skills for coordination across teams and clear representation of the product’s vision.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience with public safety or emergency response products.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and safety standards in robotics or public safety.
