Product Inquiry Associate (home-based position)

Our client contracts with numerous players within the crop protection industry for short-term projects (2-5 month terms). The intention of these projects is to quickly respond to farmer product inquiries by providing efficient and accurate in-field assessment of product issues. As such, to be proactive for the next growing season, our client seeks individuals interested joining their database list of qualified contractors (with option to decline).

As per each assignment, you would work with growers on an individual basis to resolve claims within the latitude of your authority. As contracts and clients change, it would vary which company you'd represent per contract.

To be successful, you offer:
  • Ability to relate to farmers with knowledge of agriculture industry
  • Experience with general cropping practices specifically to Canola in Western Canada and Soy/Corn in Eastern Canada
  • Good telephone demeanor with clear English communication
  • Available for day travel to make grower visits during the project timeline
  • Ability to be available, and complete assignment, during the project timeline
  • Abilitiy to respond immediately after inquiry notification and to schedule a prompt farm visit
  • Strong production agriculture acumen; particularly of the main crops within 150 km radius of your home
  • Capability to understand and assess main crop issues in your assigned region
  • Ability to gather necessary information, offer solutions, and provide product education as needed
  • Detail-orientation and customer service attitude both to the producer and to the retailer
  • Ability to follow-up all claims through retailers to ensure proper documentation and information completion
  • Available and willing to attend a webinar training session
  • Ability to clearly communicate the company's message
  • Telephone with voicemail and quality internet access
  • Good computer skills
  • Detail focused
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Self-starter; not discouraged by rejection
  • A Canadian Social Insurance Card
