About you
To be considered, you will need:
- 2+ years of experience within the past 3 years conducting procurement tasks in a DND environment
- A current working knowledge of government procurement process, including methods for procuring both inside and outside of a given Delegation of Authority
- Experience providing procurement, contracting, and materiel management services for low to medium complexity files
- Ability to provide advice and guidance on procurement policies and best practices
- Experience inputting financial and materiel management data into departmental systems and offline repositories
- Strong financial administrative skills, including preparing reports, processing invoices, and managing surplus assets
- Problem-solving skills to develop creative solutions for complex procurement challenges
About the role
If hired, you will:
- Provide procurement, contracting, and materiel management services for low to medium complexity files, including awarding contracts within delegated authority
- Advise and assist management and stakeholders on procurement policies and best practices
- Input financial and materiel management data into departmental systems and offline repositories
- Prepare reports, process invoices, and approve the disposal of surplus assets
- Identify and implement creative solutions to complex procurement challenges to meet mission-critical objectives
