POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for safely and independently completing mold/tooling changes, production startups/shutdowns, injection molding/ancillary machine troubleshooting, repairs and physical plant troubleshooting and repairs daily. Support process improvement, new projects and will be supporting role for new technology.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Inspect machinery, tooling and equipment ensuring all safety features, guards and devices work properly
• Ability to complete tooling changes and process in a new part for production
• Make necessary process adjustments, tooling adjustments, repairs, and cleaning
• Repair/troubleshoot injection molding equipment, ancillary equipment
• Use inspection procedures, specifications, and prints/drawing/schematics to determine condition of parts and tooling
• Operate precision measuring equipment during startup or issue resolution to verify repairs/changes
• Establish and maintain process records to ensure products meet or exceed quality specifications
• Support production to reduce scrap and promote efficient operations through cycle time improvement, process adjustments and machine/mold setup tuning
• Ability to lift 45–80lbs
• Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Mechanical aptitude required
• 2+ years’ experience in injection molding preferred
