Process Technician - Injection Molding

Position/Job Description:

The role is responsible for supporting and helping to ensure that machines are operational at the start of the shift. Also, provide support to the operator to ensure that it continues to run properly throughout the shift.

Essential Duties:

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:

  • Responsible for ensuring that there are no Hog Heads.
  • Ensuring that all production is running at cycle and cavitation
  • Responsible for making sure all machines are set up properly daily and to provide support to the operator to ensure that the machine is running properly throughout the shift with little or no supervision.
  • Mold setting and machine start up
  • Organizational skills, time management, detail oriented, deadline oriented and the ability to multi-task are essential for success in this position.
  • Troubleshoot daily manufacturing issues
  • Maintain red tags to tooling- to ensure that proper molding is complete
  • Provide light maintenance to the machines

Qualifications, Education, and Experience:

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Three to five years of injection molding process tech experience.

  • Working knowledge for all on the job activities that may have a direct or indirect effect on production, safety and quality.
  • Ability to set molds
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to learn and adapt to new processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules and guidelines and operation manuals or instructions.
  • Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, and oral/written communication skills
  • Results-oriented and demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet critical deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong initiative and ability to be assertive in meeting timelines.
  • Adapt to changing situations in a flexible manner and reprioritize work as necessary.
  • Work overtime as business needs require.
  • Flexible to work all shifts.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding proprietary company information.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment. Ability to work effectively with multiple departments and employees at all levels within the organization.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to learn and adapt to new processes.
  • Time management skills and ability to prioritize resources and project timelines.
