Process Engineer
Job Description
Responsibilities:
- The Process Engineer will perform standard engineering assignments that are a significant portion of larger projects.
- Develop, evaluate, calculate, and design modifications to existing chemical processes.
- Participate as a team member in capital project development by providing process design information.
- Develop alternatives and recommend solutions to equipment and process issues.
- Assist R&D or Senior Engineers with trial development and participate in plant trials as a team member.
- Collaborate with external vendors, contractors, suppliers, and technical personnel.
- Participate in defining engineering approaches and in planning and scheduling work.
- Apply a basic understanding of maintenance practices to assist in troubleshooting and improving equipment performance and reliability with limited support.
- Relocation provided. $85K-$120K.
- The Process Engineer will have a BS degree with an engineering major (chemical preferred) and 1-3 years of experience as a process engineer or in a similar engineering position in a chemical manufacturing environment.
- In-depth knowledge of various unit operations, including chemical reactors, distillation, heat transfer, evaporation, drying, milling, filtration, pumping, fluid flow, material handling, and support services.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve results both individually and as part of a team.
- Ability to apply engineering principles and knowledge to solve problems using creative solutions.
- Experience in leading the development, evaluation, and design of new or existing chemical processes.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
