Job Description
PROFILE:
Our client is a newer manufacturing facility located near Charleston, Sc. and is experiencing growth at their facility. This facility is our client's first US manufacturing site and they already have growth plans to build 2 additional manufacturing plants on site with the existing facility. This is an exciting opportunity to get in with a new company and make a direct impact on their facility, product and daily operations for years to come.
POSITION:
In the role of Process Engineer, you will be responsible for machining operations on the machining side of the facility. Our client does several different processes, primarily die casting and machining and this role will be in machining. You will work with new and existing equipment to set up/ commission and trouble shoot the machinery as necessary to ensure smooth continuous production. You will work with cross functional teams and individually to solve problems and make the equipment run better and more efficiently.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have Engineering experience in a heavy manufacturing plant
- Must have a minimum of 3 years experience of CNC related machinery
- Must have previous experience or knowledge of machining operations (as a whole)
- Must be able to work with all departments within a manufacturing facility
- Must have some experience programming i.e. Fanuc or Siemens
- Must be able to read blue prints
- Preference given to those who have CMM experience but not required
- Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder
- Relocation is available for well qualified individuals
- Ensuring process documentation from manufacturing engineering
- Aid in the manufacturing process
- Direct the process development and process improvement activities
- Direct the product/process corrective action process
- Lead or assist manufacturing process development
- Translate process improvement concepts into workable manufacturing processes
- Functioned as a process engineer
- Perform process capability analysis on production processes
- Designated as a production/manufacturing engineer
- Applied in the manufacturing process
- Perform process equipment specification development
- Assist with plant process troubleshooting
- Interfacing regularly with process development teams by developing manufacturing processes including process flow and outputs, manufacturing process instructions and production documentation
- Provide process engineer support for new equipment offerings
- Develop process workflows and process documentation
- Implement manufacturing technology for production processes
- Deliver process improvement projects to reduce manufacturing cost and improve operating efficiency
- Maximize efficiency, quality and safety
- Provide process engineering support to manufacturing process
- Develop tooling to support the manufacturing process
