Process Control Engineer
Job Description
Responsibilities:
- The Process Control Engineer will support various I/O devices connected to PLC’s including HMI’s, remote I/O, sensors, relays, solenoids, etc., and support/assist maintenance personnel in troubleshooting electrical, PLC, pneumatic circuits, all other components associated with automated processes to meet production and safety goals.
- Respond with urgency to assigned work and breakdowns/emergency work orders assisting the maintenance team as needed.
- Ensure that the control systems comply with any regulatory requirements such as SIL/LOPA assessments.
- Maintain or create instrument and electrical drawings for control systems consisting of motor elementaries and instrument loop sheets.
- Maintain PLC documentation upon receipt from equipment suppliers and an archive of PLC programs and machine controls drawings in an electronic and/or paper format and throughout facility.
- Mentoring and sharing knowledge with technicians and other technical staff members on control system strategies and installations.
Relocation available. $130K-$145K.
Qualifications
- The Process Control Engineer will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field and 3+ years of experience working in manufacturing.
- Expertise in DCS, SCADA, and process automation systems; Siemens TIA portal and PCS7 experience required.
- Familiarity with ICS infrastructure, Microsoft OS, and networked systems- Possessing a working knowledge of PSM and DHS regulatory requirements.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
