Process Control & IT Manager
PURPOSE: The IT/OT Manager is the leader of manufacturing technology systems at this world-class linerboard facility in the Southeastern US. This position will provide oversight and leadership for the facility’s IT/OT reliability, capability and resources. As an active mill leader, this position must drive results in the IT/OT arenas.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage all local IT/OT activity, ensuring it is aligned with the businesses vision and strategy
- Work directly with key operations and business leaders to automate and optimize processes
- Develop and lead a mill IT/OT roadmap to achieve and maintain world-class reliability while also being adaptable to dynamic business environments
- Oversee an IT function that includes the following:
- Tier 1 Application Support (Business, Production and Office Applications)
- Maintenance of computer, user, and group accounts within Active Directory
- Management of VMware environment and MS Server environments 2012, 2016, 2019
- Management of group policies in Office 365 and other environments
- Maintenance of EMC NAS environment with NTFS permissions
- Other functions including asset refresh program, backups, remote access, and mobile
- Oversee an OT function includes the following:
- Leadership of automation systems, including configuration and HMI development
- Creation of automation control & optimization strategies that drive business results
- Lead and coordinate capital programs to keep the IT/OT infrastructure up to date and
- Management of automation system documentation
- Manage special projects and assignments as business dictate
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Directly supervise the IT and Process Control area
- Develop your organization to ensure long and short term goals and objectives are
- Transfer knowledge to salaried staff and prepare them for future advancement
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 4-year bachelor’s degree with at least ten years of combined experience in IT and OT groups within a manufacturing environment
- At least 5 years of supervisory experience leading teams of professionals
- Outstanding communication skills across full range of company employees
- Demonstrated ability to balance priorities to meet short and long-term goals
- Possess an entrepreneurial and innovative spirit
- Technical knowledge of IT systems, including but not limited to: NT and Active directory, VMware, MS Server OS, Citrix, firewall security
- Technical knowledge of OT system, including but not limited to: PLC, DCS (ideally, Valmet, Honeywell TDC, ABB 800xa)
