Privacy Litigation Associate Attorney

Join a prestigious AmLaw 100 law firm as a Mid-Senior Privacy Litigation Associate Attorney, primarily based in Los Angeles, CA, but open to other locations. This role is pivotal in handling complex privacy cases, offering a dynamic environment where your expertise in privacy laws will play a critical role in the strategic outcomes for our high-profile clientele.

Salary: $230,000.00 - $390,000.00 per year

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead complex privacy litigation cases under federal, state, and international laws.
  • Manage extensive aspects of case work-up, including the innovation of litigation strategies from initiation to trial phases.
  • Draft critical legal documents such as briefs, complaints, pretrial motions, memoranda, and discovery requests.
  • Provide precise and strategic legal guidance to clients, navigating complexities of privacy and data protection laws.
  • Collaborate effectively across practices with other attorneys to optimize outcomes in privacy litigation matters.
  • Engage in rigorous research and analysis to support case arguments and position the firm at the forefront of evolving privacy law dimensions.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • JD from a top-tier law school with a solid academic track record.
  • Active Bar Admission in CA or any relevant jurisdiction depending on the office location.
  • Minimum of 3 years of substantive litigation experience, with a focus on privacy litigation.
  • Proficient in handling legal and administrative duties related to trial preparation and courtroom proceedings.
  • Versed in federal, state, and international privacy laws.

  • Prior experience in a distinguished law firm or judicial clerkship setting.
  • Extensive experience in managing complex litigation cases.
  • Demonstrated success in strategically navigating complex legal and regulatory environments.
