A Print Finisher is responsible for completing the final stages of the printing process, ensuring that printed materials are trimmed, assembled, bound, and packaged according to client specifications and industry standards.

Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Print Finisher to join our production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the final preparation and finishing of printed materials, ensuring high quality and timely completion of all jobs. This includes operating finishing equipment, quality checking products, and working closely with the printing and design departments to meet deadlines and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate finishing machinery such as guillotine paper cutters, laminators, folding machines, paper drills, creasing and binding equipment.
• Trim, fold, collate, and bind printed materials according to job specifications.
• Perform quality control checks to ensure printed materials meet the required standards.
• Package, label, and prepare finished products for delivery or shipping.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the finishing area.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on finishing equipment.
• Monitor stock levels of finishing materials and report shortages.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a print finishing role or similar production environment.
• Ability to operate a range of print finishing machinery.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to spot printing or finishing errors.
• Good time management and ability to work to tight deadlines.
• Ability to lift and move materials as required.
• Willingness to work flexible hours or overtime as needed.

Desirable:

• Formal training or certification in print or production processes.
• Knowledge of digital and offset printing processes.
• Forklift license (in some production environments).
