Our client is a successful, recession-proof, mission-driven software company supporting the energy industry located metro-west of Boston. They are a long time client and we have placed a number of candidates there who are happy etc.

They are seeking a Principal Software Engineer to technically lead, architect, design and develop cutting edge embedded real-time, multi-processor systems but also be comfortable with design of PC based applications. The ideal candidate will have experience in firmware and software development, experience with Linux and expert level skills in one or more scripting languages such as TCL, Python and Perl, along with
embedded and host applications developed in C, C++, C# and/or .NET. A BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent is also preferred.
