We are currently hiring for a full-time Primary Therapist for a Residential Treatment Program serving adolescents and young adults with behavioral and mental health issues located in Oldwick, NJ.

Reporting to the Clinical Director, the Primary Therapist coordinates the treatment and care being delivered to the patients on his/her caseload. The Primary Therapist provides individual and family therapy for the patients on his/her caseload and provides group therapy for the entire patient cohort. The Primary Therapist conducts a biopsychosocial assessment on admission, collaborates with the rest of the treatment team to formulate the treatment plan and revise that as needed, and coordinates discharge planning. The Primary Therapist also maintains communication with the family during the treatment stay, and coordinates care with referring providers on admission and with step-down team upon discharge.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinates treatment and care being delivered to the patients.
• Delivers individual, group and family psychotherapy.
• Conducts biopsychosocial assessment on admission.
• Collaborates with the rest of the treatment team to formulate the treatment plan and ongoing treatment planning.
• Maintains communication with the family during the treatment stay.
• Coordinates care with referring providers on admission and with step-down team upon discharge.

Requirements:

• Master’s Degree in social work or counseling field. Experience treating patients with substance abuse, and general psychiatric and behavioral health issues.
• Licensed to practice therapy in New Jersey. LSW or LAC / LCSW or LPC
