Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Managing Director of Finance of a $400MM operating division of a multi-billion-dollar global provider of transportation and logistics services.

Pricing Manager is responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to the team that manages all bid activity for all modes of transportation. This person will be responsible for pricing all incoming bids and providing analytical support to increase and improve anticipated cost model. This includes the ongoing analysis of pricing of all services with the ability to execute changes as necessary. The pricing manager will work with all levels of the organization to ensure that pricing policy is followed to maximize profitability. This professional will be a change agent for price improvements. Will set pricing strategy for all services and monitor execution to ensure we are increasing margin dollars and return on investment and work with business development team to establish price for new services or enhancements to existing services. Will Create pricing policy, recommend changes in pricing structure/methodology, and apply consistent processes and operating procedures to implement pricing changes and gain maximum efficiencies. Will provide leadership: coaching, mentorship, professional development, and performance management, to direct reports.

Background Required:
• Pricing within a Transportation / Logistics environment (7+ years)
• Bids and requests for proposals (RFP & RFQ)
• Yield management tools
• Transportation Network Optimization software
• Develop & administrate contracts process from sales and customer proposal
• Develop & administrate internal rate, pricing, tariff publishing process
• Cost & price new business opportunities
• Electronic bids
• Proactive management of carrier network
• Mileage Programs
• Oversee auto-rate input and manual rating process to support Billing
• Develop a methodology for bringing consistency to the Pricing process
• Education: BS or BA degree
• Residence: Akron/Cleveland, OH area (Relocation assistance provided)
