Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Director of Pricing of the Freight Management Division of a billion-dollar supply chain entity with rapidly growing capabilities in transportation, warehouse and distribution center support, yard management, last mile delivery, supply chain analytics/ optimization, and more. One of the fastest growing companies in Chicago.
The Pricing Analyst will help to supplement volume growth while mitigating against risk in the contracted and spot freight spaces. Will work closely with Director of Pricing and the Vice President and Executive Vice President levels of the organization in a data driven, results oriented role. Will perform analysis and curation of RFP’s and rate structures, perform daily management of workflow in CRM and project management software, and perform cost analysis for various lines of business to measure performance of current awards. Will maintain and update accurate pricing contract databases related to pricing events. Will assist Director with internal and external facing Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, and annual marketplace reports and updates. Will communicate cross departmentally to maintain and expand market knowledge. Challenge is to increase revenues and improve profitability through effective pricing strategies.

Background Required:
  • Pricing in non-asset, logistics environment (2+ years)
  • Strong understanding of various logistics models and pricing structures
  • Experience with bids and requests for proposals
  • Lane cost analysis, establish cost and service-related processes
  • Ability to compile, cross reference, and analyze large data sets and leverage it to shape strategy
  • Computer literate: Microsoft Suite: PowerPoint, Word, Excel
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Economics, Business
