COMPANY: Our client’s embedded financial solutions platform provides fast, frictionless access to working capital for small to medium-sized enterprise businesses (SMEs). They partner with vertical SaaS companies, payment facilitators, and other software platforms to integrate their capital and spend management tools directly into the software that SMEs use every day. Their innovative, data-driven underwriting removes the friction of traditional financing, helping businesses grow on their own terms.

THE APPEAL OF THE ROLE:
  • Define and execute the expansion strategy: This role would be about more than managing a sales team; it would be about defining the go-to-market strategy for new products and partner channels. The President would lead the charge in expanding both the direct sales and embedded finance partner channels.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic leadership and execution
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive, scalable go-to-market strategy for their embedded capital and spend management products.
  • Lead the entire sales and partnerships organization, including defining key market segments, setting ambitious revenue targets, and owning the end-to-end sales cycle.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to shape overall company strategy, product roadmap, and market expansion based on deep customer and partner insights.
Partner acquisition and management
  • Identify, prospect, and close high-value strategic partnerships with large software platforms (ISVs), payment facilitators (PayFacs), and marketplaces.
  • Negotiate complex, multi-faceted partnership agreements that drive mutual value through embedded capital offerings.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key partners at the executive level to ensure successful integration and drive maximum adoption.
Go-to-market strategy
  • Work with the marketing team to develop targeted campaigns and compelling messaging that highlights their unique value proposition for platform partners.
  • In collaboration with their partners, develop and execute joint go-to-market plans to drive merchant adoption and utilization of their capital products within their ecosystems.
Team leadership and development
  • Mentor, coach, and grow a high-performing team of sales and partnerships professionals.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and customer-centricity within the sales organization.
  • Implement best-in-class sales processes and systems to maximize efficiency and track performance against key metrics.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must have a deep understanding of payments, lending, embedded finance, alternative lending, fintech, and strategic partnerships within the B2B software and payments ecosystem including all the credit card processing companies.
  • 10+ years of progressive sales leadership experience in a high-growth, B2B SaaS, Alternative Lending or FinTech environment.
  • Proven track record of success building and scaling sales and partnership organizations from the ground up.
  • Demonstrated experience in negotiating and closing complex, strategic partnership agreements with large enterprise clients.
  • Deep knowledge of embedded finance, payments, and the broader FinTech landscape.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • A strategic, data-driven mindset with the ability to translate insights into actionable sales strategies.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience scaling a sales organization through a platform-based or embedded business model.
  • Established network and strong relationships within the B2B software, payments, and/or FinTech ecosystem.
  • Prior experience reporting directly to a CEO or serving on a C-level leadership team.
