President / VP Sales - Payment Processing Company
POSITION: President / Vice President of Sales (Title depends upon experience.) This is a management position reporting to the Founder/CEO. The new President will be directly responsible for revenue growth of the company. Will inherit a small team of 22 people.
LOCATION: Position can be located anywhere in the United States. Founder/CEO is located on the East Coast. The majority of the current team is located in the Midwest. However, the Founder is totally ready to open a new office location anywhere in the United States where there is a strong pool of talent. Finding the right person who can lead and build the best team is most important. Founder/CEO ready and willing to open a new office in whatever location best suits the new President and the team he/she will build.
COMPANY: The company was founded only a couple of years ago and is growing like crazy! This position reports directly to the Founder/CEO. He is a very successful entrepreneur who is well known and respected in the fintech industry. He personally funded this business. COMPENSATION: This is a key hire. Realistically, the first-year compensation is expected to be around $400k+ OTE (50/50 plan). However, the sky is the limit! There will be no cap on commissions and accelerators. Plus, second year comp should be significantly more! Founder/CEO wants to hire someone who is VERY motivated and confident in their ability to be successful in this role. The CEO wants someone who is incentivized and committed to the company’s success. Compensation package will include base, bonus, and full benefits. There is no equity for this role. ALL CASH comp. CEO wants someone who is motivated to make a lot of money! Client would like to know what you want to make and what is important to you.
MANAGEMENT STYLE: This is a management position reporting to the Founder/CEO. He lets people take the reins on a lot of things, then get together a couple times a week to pow wow. He is a very open, personable and smart guy. He knows this industry better than most. People love working for him. They don’t want to leave. He is all about growth and the next new thing. He prefers to collaborate with someone, then let them get it done. Need someone who is good at communicating directly and efficiently. Doesn’t want any surprises. Need to be proactive about keeping him informed and someone who knows when to ask for help. He is a very successful entrepreneur who is well known and respected in the fintech industry. This is just one of several businesses that he has started or acquired. He personally funded this business. POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have recent and significant experience in a sales leadership role with quota responsibility at a company in the credit card processing space. Must have a record of quota over-achievement. The new President/VP of Sales will be directly responsible for revenue growth of the company.
- Must be someone who can ensure that the team has the best possible talent (A players) at each level. Structure comp & incentive plans. Coach and keep top talent and remove non-performers efficiently. Initially, you will be responsible for an individual quota and a team quota while building out your team.
- Must be someone that can be very hands-on, roll up their sleeves and do whatever it takes to achieve goals while building and managing the team. Must lead by example. Need someone that is very self-motivated, hungry, humble, numbers driven and has a great sense of humor.
- Must be someone who enjoys the entrepreneurial atmosphere of a small company but has been through the experience of scaling up an organization/territory to significant revenues. Ideal candidates will have gone through the high growth and scalability issues of a startup or high growth stage company. Experience working in a dynamic environment is mandatory as well as experience growing a company, business unit, vertical, and/or territory from nominal revenues to phenomenal revenues at least once in your career.
