RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • As part of the Sales Team, the Presales Solution Specialist works with Sales Executives in all phases of the sales cycle, providing the necessary business, functional and technical knowledge of our client’s capabilities & offerings, in order to drive and maximize sales revenue. 
  • This role will be focused on presales support for client’s offering in the Customer Intelligence (CI) Customer Relationship Management (CRM), and Customer Analytics space.
  • The successful candidate will use their domain expertise to effectively craft solutions, proposals and demonstrations that address our clients' business needs in the fraud detection space within the public sector. 
  • The responsibilities will include supporting the development of sales strategies for accounts, assistance in qualifying sales opportunities, driving the discovery of clients' issues, preparation and delivery of sales presentations and demonstrations (including the development and implementation of proof of concepts and prototypes), development of value propositions and preparing and presenting written and verbal proposals. 
  • Given the role within the Pre-sales organization, the Solution Specialist will provide knowledge transfer and mentorship to other client’s team members to advance their capabilities, including marketing, alliances, services, and sales resources. 
  • The Solutions Specialist will also work closely with other of our client’s staff to transition and ensure the successful post-sales implementation of the solutions.  
  • This could include participating in the early stages of implementation to help clearly define the business requirements, assessment work or mentoring other of our client’s Consultants on business techniques or methods as appropriate.  Ongoing skills and expertise development is also a requirement. 

 

Qualifications

 QUALIFICATIONS:

  • It is expected this role requires 5-10 years (or more) of experience in the domain, with this experience based on either being a presales, sales engineering, sales support, or consultant in the CI/CRM space; or based on having experience as a hands-on practitioner from the CI/CRM space.  Relevant/equivalent experience to this may be considered to meet this requirement.
  • The candidate should have subject matter, technical, and/or functional experience and expertise in the Customer Intelligence space (e.g., Customer Analytics, Campaign Management, Customer Relationship Management, Database Marketing, Customer Profitability, Online Marketing, etc.) in one or more of the verticals that make up our client’s client base (e.g., Financial Services, Telecommunications, Retail, etc.).  
  • Effective business and technical writing and presentation skills are required. 
  • Analytical experience is an asset, as would be educational background in related subject matter areas. 
  • Travel is required - an estimated 5-10 days travel/month will be required to support clients and opportunities across Canada.
