Position Overview:
Pathology Account Manager will be responsible for managing and growing the existing business within the Southeast region. This role is heavily focused on account retention while identifying growth opportunities through expansion and increased client engagement. Working with a mix of hospital systems, outpatient surgery centers, GI/GU specialists, and pathology labs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in hospital systems, outpatient surgery centers, GI/GU specialists, and more.
- Sales Growth: Upsell and expand the utilization of diagnostic testing services within existing hospital accounts, identifying opportunities for additional services or new test offerings.
- Client Retention: Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by providing exceptional service and addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
- Serve as the primary liaison between clients and labs, ensuring smooth service delivery and resolving any issues.
- Collaborate with the sales leadership team to analyze market data and determine where existing business is originating from.
- 5+ years of sales or account management experience in healthcare, laboratory diagnostics, molecular testing, or pathology services.
- Strong understanding of pathology, oncology, and GI/GU-related diagnostics.
- Experience managing a multi-state sales territory with frequent travel.
- Proven ability to retain and expand business within an existing client base.
- Willingness to travel 30-50% within Georgia, the Carolinas, Alabama, and Tennessee
