Our client, a provider of application lifecycle management has an opportunity for an experienced pre-sales application engineer to join their Sales & Service Team. You are a results-oriented team performer with the motivation and skill to drive the technical pre-sales process. 

This position is home office based; location is flexible within the VA/MD area

You Have...

 

• Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant technical pre-sales or consulting experience in Fortune 1000 accounts
• Strong understanding of application development and workflow processes
• Ability to understand customer issues and map high level business issues  and to provide a roadmap to customer success
• Proficiency with UNIX and Windows NT operating systems
• Programming and scripting skills preferred
• Experience with database administration and configuration - SQL, Oracle, MS SQL Server, UML, DB2
• Strong presentation and communication skills to white board solutions, present demos and lead Proof of Concept (PoC)
• Assess current environments including integration and/or cross platform needs
• Evaluate project scope to determine feasibility and resource requirements

You have outstanding presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills, and a creative approach to solution selling. You should have a demonstrated record of achievement in departmental/enterprise-wide application software sales or consulting.
