Our client is a 200 bed teaching hospital and medical school campus affiliated with Columbia University’s College of Physicians and Surgeons, and through a nationally renowned Research Institute. They have engaged our firm to assist them in locating a world class Physician Practice Executive to help lead their thriving CV practices.
The Practice & Operations Manager, Cardiovascular Service Line will direct daily operations, develop, plan and implement programs, enforce compliance standards, and develop systems to maximize patient access and practitioner efficiency in Cardiovascular Service Line practices. The Manager will be responsible for performance improvement, regulatory compliance, staff selection/retention, scheduling, patient satisfaction, and staff development activities. The Manager will assist with data collection and analysis of existing programs, new program proposals, and projects within the service line. This individual will assist the Senior Director with annual budget development. The Manager is directly responsible for the oversight of 7.8 million dollars of budgeted expense and will assist the Chief or Cardiovascular Services and Senior Director with implementing plans to optimize revenue generation. The Manager will provide operational oversight of Cardiovascular clinics in 3 locations, as well as oversee cardiac testing in four and cardiac rehabilitation at one of their sites. The Department has approximately 30 staff members, 15 MD/DO’s and 8 APC’s, and the Operations Manager may have up to 17 direct reports.
