Pediatric Partners of Augusta, the largest private practice group of Board-Certified Pediatricians and Board-Certified Pediatric Sub Specialists in the Central Savannah River Area (CSRA), has an exciting opportunity for a Practice Administrator. Morgan Hunter HealthSearch has been retained to conduct this key search.

Pediatric Partners of Augusta (PPA) features 15 Pediatricians, one Pediatric Allergist (who offers on-sight diagnostic testing), and six Nurse Practitioners. They have three office locations, as well as an after-hours clinic, which is open weeknights, weekends and most holidays and always staffed by one of their pediatricians. PPA also offers a newborn center, which provides lactation and overall education. The practice sees approximately 450 patients per day. PPA was the first pediatric practice in the CSRA to become nationally recognized as a Level III Patient Centered Medical Home. They also have earned “Best Doctors” awards for several years in a row by both the Augusta Chronicle and Columbia County Magazine.

Opportunity: Reporting to the practice partners, the Practice Administrator is responsible for all strategic and daily operations of the organization. In addition to the 21 providers, there are approximately 60 staff members. Among the initial priorities are assessing the organization, reviewing job descriptions, staffing, compensation for staff, evaluating physician recruitment plans and packages and mentoring staff (especially middle management).

Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate is one who has prior experience leading a medium-sized private practice. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and understand how to communicate with and lead physicians to consensus. The ability to mentor staff to successfully manage daily operations so that you can focus on strategic goals is imperative. A bachelor’s degree is required with an MHA preferred.

Location: PPA is located in Columbia County, with the largest clinic in the city of Evans, a vibrant, growing, upscale suburb of Augusta (which is in Richmond County). Augusta, with a population of 200,000 (MSA of 600,000) and Georgia’s second largest city, is home of the globally recognized Masters Tournament, birthplace of Soul Icon James Brown, and home of the US Army's Cyber Center of Excellence at Fort Gordon. Augusta is a place where history meets high-tech, sports meet with southern hospitality, industry meets with a growing technically-savvy workforce, and a love of the outdoors and recreation meets with a resurgent urban landscape.
