Power BI SME

Karcher North America is getting ready to transition to Power BI from the corporate HQ's instance of SAP SAC by request of the N.A. business for reporting/dashboarding and greater autonomy.

Position: Senior Power BI Implementation SME/Architect

Location: Remote (Possible visit to Denver, CO)

Duration: ~6-mo

BACKGROUND:
• Kärcher NA is shifting from Microsoft Office to Google Suite. Many advanced Excel-based reports are now hard to replicate in Google Sheets.

• Recently got the green light to implement Power BI.

• Looking potentially for a spot-consulting engagement to help them navigate conversations with Microsoft and SI selection (partner has not been selected).

• Hoping to ramp up in March, aiming to address architecture, licensing, environment setup, and data connections (SAP, data lake, potential BigQuery, etc.).

• They have some in-house business users with moderate Power BI experience, but no internal technical experts to handle environment setup, data engineering, or best practices.

• They may need a consultant/SME to spearhead the initial architecture, integrations (SAP/Google Data Lake), and possibly build prototype dashboards.

• Long-term user adoption training may be handled by their power users, but the IT team also needs technical knowledge transfer to sustain the platform.


TIMELINE:
• Intitial discussions with Microsoft will take place over the following weeks and they will begin needing spot guidance until the project kicks off roughly late-march or april.
