Our client, a medium-sized, leading software company located in Markham is looking to implement, convert and port their existing application from Oracle to PostgreSQL. This has created the opportunity for a couple of different roles.

1. They will consider Postgres experts who can implement, convert and port the application (DBA or data architect). This would be a two month contract with possibility to extend.

2. They're looking for a senior developer/team leader with extensive experience in .net environment and ideally development experience in the Postgres world. This could be either a long-term contract role or a contract to permanent role (perm role $80-$100k).

Background:

Their current products are based on Microsoft/Oracle platforms (.net and Oracle DB). However, they’re looking to port to their existing products onto PostgreSQL/Postgres Open Source platform.

• Location is Hwy #7 & Woodbine - Markham
• Languages: .net / C# (Windows services) for Development Lead Role
• Microsoft .Net platform, Microsoft suite for Development Lead Role
• Database: development on Oracle for the Development Lead Role
• PostgreSQL / Postgres Implementations for the DBA/Database architect role
