Portfolio Growth Associate

Job Description
Client Summary:

Position Responsibilities:
  • Develop a strong familiarity with portfolio companies and potential new investments, with the ability to communicate the value of portfolio companies to senior leadership at health systems and health plans
  • Conduct market intelligence on potential partners and segments relevant to portfolio companies
  • Track key KPIs related to ecosystem development efforts and develop strategies for continued engagement
  • Conduct independent analysis to support new investment due diligence efforts on an as-needed basis
  • Lead external meetings that lead to creative relationships and partnership structures that accelerate the mission and portfolio
  • Ensure scoped engagements with ecosystem partners result in intended outcomes through effective project management and coordination
  • Serve as an external ambassador for portfolio companies through industry events, conferences and relationship development
  • Collaborate directly with company Board Members and Investment Professionals to understand portfolio company GTM strategies and needs
  • Deeply understand healthcare business models and value drivers
  • Support portfolio companies with revenue operations and pipeline tracking initiatives
  • Establish programming to facilitate exposure for portfolio companies to potential partners and capital sources
Experience & Skills:
Required Experience and Qualifications:
  • 2-5 years of full-time experience working with healthcare startups or enterprises, with significant exposure to strategy and business development functions
  • 2-5 years of direct or adjacent experience with venture capital funds
  • Strong oral communication skills, with the ability to influence senior decision makers
  • Familiarity with the key components of healthcare flow of funds, with the ability to think creatively about direct and channel partners for portfolio companies
  • Strong market research skills, with the ability to derive insights from healthcare industry data
  • Exceptional PowerPoint and Excel skills
