Overview

We are a well-established general contractor specializing in hotel and motel construction across Western Ohio, Central Ohio, Eastern Indiana, and Northern Kentucky. With a strong focus on customer satisfaction and a reputation built on repeat clients and referrals, we also provide millwrighting services and design and fabrication of fall protection systems. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Superintendent to oversee daily operations on our construction sites, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Site Management: Oversee all on-site construction activities, coordinating multiple trades and crews to ensure seamless project execution.

  • Schedule Adherence: Monitor and enforce project schedules, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met while addressing any delays promptly.

  • Quality Control: Ensure all work complies with project plans, specifications, and industry standards, maintaining our commitment to excellence.

  • Safety Compliance: Implement and enforce safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel on-site.

  • Team Supervision: Manage and direct foremen and subcontractors, fostering effective communication and resolving conflicts as needed.

  • Logistics Coordination: Oversee material deliveries, equipment usage, and site logistics to maintain efficient operations.

  • Reporting: Provide regular updates on project progress, challenges, and solutions to the construction manager or project manager.

  • Client Interaction: Act as the primary on-site point of contact for clients, addressing concerns and ensuring satisfaction.

  • Problem Resolution: Identify and resolve on-site issues quickly to minimize disruptions and maintain project momentum.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction supervision, preferably in commercial or hospitality projects.

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree or certification in construction management or related field is a plus.

  • Skills:

    • Strong leadership and team management abilities.

    • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and safety regulations.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating with teams, clients, and stakeholders.

    • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.

    • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively under tight deadlines.

  • Certifications: OSHA 30 certification preferred; other relevant safety or construction certifications are a plus.

  • Attributes: Detail-oriented, proactive, and adaptable with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.

Working Conditions

  • Primarily field-based, working on active construction sites with exposure to outdoor conditions.

  • Requires frequent walking, standing, and occasional lifting or climbing.

  • May involve extended hours or weekend work to meet project deadlines.

  • Travel within Western Ohio, Central Ohio, Eastern Indiana, and Northern Kentucky may be required.
