Plumbing Engineer / Design Specialist

Salary: Dependent on Experience

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform detailed and complex plumbing design requirements.
  • Develop plumbing system designs for healthcare, institutional, and educational facilities using 3D Revit and 2D CAD.
  • Receive and manage project assignments from Principals, Senior Associates, or Senior Engineers/Project Managers.
  • Identify design issues and coordinate with the leadership team to resolve swiftly.
  • Complete project design documents, drawings, specifications, system studies, and calculations.
  • Conduct surveys, code studies, and participate in construction administration as necessary.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in building consulting engineering as a designer, engineer, or project manager.
  • Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD with at least 2 years of operational experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of current Building Codes applicable to plumbing engineering.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Good interpersonal abilities for effective team collaborations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in senior roles or mentoring other plumbing engineers/designers.

Skills:

  • Advanced skills in Revit, including setting up projects and detailing.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD with a strong focus on drafting disciplines.
  • Ability to perform detailed calculations to support design work.
  • Strong project management capabilities.
  • Effective problem-solving skills to address challenges promptly.
