Lead / Master Plumber
Sequence has been exclusively retained and is currently searching for a Journeyman to Master Plumber level professional to lead residential (single and multi-family) renovation and new construction efforts.
This role is currently the most high-profile position of its kind here in the niche construction industry locally in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Our client, the regions most innovative residential and multi-family remodeling and renovation contractor backed by Silicon Valley venture capitalists, is tasking us to aggressively find a capable plumbing professional to join their team. The organization is composed of talented problem solvers with ability to tackle highly complex projects. They offer a one stop solution to build out projects with residential clients as the single source from conceptual design, materials choices, permitting and construction.
We are specifically seeking a Plumber who has at least 7 to 10 plus years in residential remodeling and construction related experience in the San Francisco Bay Area. This role will be responsible for managing plumbing and piping projects (new, modification, install, etc.) and ensuring that the projects are built out to local code, meet schedule, and meet high levels of quality and safety.
Because the organization maintains its own staff of internal trade personnel in-house (rather than subcontracts for the majority of their work), this post acts as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries and trouble-shooting on a day-to-day basis in addition to overseeing a portfolio of residential remodeling projects throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.
Tracking adherence to project scope and identifying potential roadblocks
Utilizing best practices to increase work quality
Using systematic approaches to troubleshooting and repair
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Functioning as the lead staff plumber for both field and office efforts.
- Oversee and perform plumbing and piping field work, installations and troubleshooting.
- Supervisor multiple field staff.
- Ensuring all work is carried out safely and with conducted safely.
- Estimate time and materials required for projects.
- Review project budgets and schedules to ensure timelines are met; manage any project conflicts.
- Undertake On-site project management efforts.
This could be the ideal position for a talented mid to senior level professional with skills and experience who is now seeking to take on a challenge and step up in responsibility. It could also be a great role for an individual who has had their own private plumbing contracting firm who now wants to step into a dynamic company and not have to deal with the responsibilities and financial burden of running their own organization.
This role can be based anywhere here in the San Francisco Bay Area so long as the person filling the role can commute to project sites.
