Our federal government client is seeking a Platform Analyst to join their team on a contract basis in Ottawa, ON. To be considered for this position, you will need 5 years of experience in Unix/Linux and 3 years of experience with OpenShift. Keep on reading to learn more.
About you
To be considered, you will need:
- 3 years of experience within the last 5 years implementing development and production container solutions with OpenShift, including:
- Developing build books, operational support plans, and run book procedures
- Providing ongoing operational support, knowledge transfer, and support documentation
- 3 years of experience within the last 5 years defining, installing, securing, maintaining, and upgrading OpenShift Container Platform
- 3 years of experience within the last 5 years working with and implementing automation tools
- 5 years of experience within the last 8 years working with Unix or Linux systems
- Strong skills in creating and managing CI/CD pipelines, GitOps automation, and containerizing applications
- Experience with configuring security policies and working with tools like Advanced Cluster Security (ACS) and Quay is an asset
- Experience with Service Mesh, LDAP, and multi-tenant software-defined networking is an asset
About the role
If hired, you will:
- Perform diagnostics on the OpenShift cluster and ensure its smooth operation
- Monitor ticketing systems and respond to Incident Reports, Requests for Changes, and Solution Requests
- Assist clients in deploying operators and containerized applications
- Design, create, and manage custom container images and CI/CD pipelines
- Implement microservices, Service Mesh, and health checks to improve system reliability
- Backup and restore critical data for the cluster
- Configure LDAP and other security providers, as well as work with automation tools to streamline operations
- Keep the OpenShift cluster running efficiently and stay updated on OpenShift-related technologies
