Summary/Objective: Planning, organizing, directing and running optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customers’ expectations. Increasing production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards. Responsible for production output, product quality and on-time shipping.
Education and Experience:
- BS degree in Business Management or related field.
- Proven work experience as a plant manager.
- Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources).
- Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise.
- Be knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory and stewardship processes.

Essential Functions:
- Manage overall manufacturing operations including costs, quality, and efficiencies for, wire shop, metal fabrication, and powder coating lines for the Terrell, Texas location.
- Provide the necessary leadership to the production leadership team by leading day-to-day operations and utilizing decision making skills to optimize operations.
- Communicate the direction of manufacturing with senior leadership as well as production leadership by providing a vision and cultivating an environment to achieve the vision.
- Ensure that employees are fully trained in, committed to, and conduct their activities in accordance with all aspects of Safety and Quality systems.
- Develop, implement, and utilize Key Performance indicators (KPIs) to provide an objective status of the plants performance. Use these KPIs to justify the financial performance of the plant.
- Attract, select, develop, train, coach, appraise, and motivates managers and other personnel for key staff positions.
- Direct and manage the manpower planning, training, and deployment for operations activities.
- Develop direct reports through mentoring, training, education, and project work. Identify training needs of personnel. Initiate and participate in required training to maintain the highest skill level.
- Work with the continuous improvement team to review and establish priorities for continuous improvement activities; direct the statistical analysis of projects or processes.
- Define and prioritize operational goals and objectives while managing projects to meet corporate goals and customer deadlines. Direct the team in solving specific challenges and overcoming project roadblocks when necessary, so that agreed upon goals and objectives are met.
- Complete and present annual performance appraisals for all direct report employees, outlining positive and negative performance, and document a plan of action for sub-par performers. Assess the skill level of employees and provide training as needed to advance skills. Provide feedback for employee’s annual appraisal that perform in other areas but are not direct reports.
