About the Opportunity
We’re supporting a search for a Plant Manager with a large plastics manufacturing facility in Atlanta, GA. This role will lead a high-volume, multi-shift HDPE extrusion blow molding operation with responsibility for Production, Maintenance, Quality, Warehouse, Safety, and Administration. The Plant Manager will focus on operational performance, people leadership, employee engagement, staffing, customer expectations, continuous improvement, and full plant financial performance.
What You’ll Do
You’ll lead all plant operations with a focus on safety, quality, efficiency, cost, delivery, and workforce performance.
Key areas of focus include:
• Lead Production, Maintenance, Quality, Warehouse, Safety, and Administration
• Manage and develop functional department leaders
• Drive plant KPIs across safety, efficiency, resin utilization, quality, cost, and delivery
• Improve operational efficiency and continuous improvement activity
• Manage staffing, workforce planning, and employee engagement
• Improve morale and reduce employee turnover
• Strengthen performance across off-shifts
• Support high-volume production and frequent product changeovers
• Maintain customer quality and delivery expectations
• Manage the plant budget and P&L
• Ensure OSHA and company compliance
• Maintain operational readiness across the facility
• Coach and develop department leaders
• Lead through ongoing operational changes
Who You Are
You are a hands-on Plant Manager with extensive extrusion blow molding experience and a strong record of leading high-volume, multi-shift plastics manufacturing operations.
You understand the demands of a complex production environment and can balance daily execution with longer-term operational improvement. You are comfortable leading through frequent changeovers, workforce challenges, and high customer expectations.
You would do well here if you are visible on the floor, strong with people, and able to improve morale, accountability, efficiency, and plant performance.
Preferred Experience & Attributes
• Plant Manager leadership experience required
• Extensive extrusion blow molding experience required
• HDPE blow molding experience strongly preferred
• Experience with both extrusion and injection blow molding is a plus
• High-volume plastics manufacturing experience
• Multi-shift operations leadership experience
• Strong people leadership and employee development skills
• Proven operational improvement track record
• Experience improving morale and reducing turnover
• Experience managing frequent product changeovers
• Strong operational and strategic leadership skills
• P&L and plant budget management experience
• Experience leading Production, Maintenance, Quality, Warehouse, Safety, and Administration
